Don't know about Restaurant.com? They're a national service that restaurants can sign up with, to offer diners a gift certificate for a discount. Usually the discount is about 50% - so you can pre-purchase a $25 certificate for $10. However, if you sign up for the Restaurant.com mailing list, you do receive frequent sales. A group of Monroe women recently scored $25 Shiloh's and Beal House gift certificates for just $2 each. Makes eating out almost affordable! Just be sure to read each restaurant's terms & conditons before you buy - sometimes the certificates are only good on weeknights, sometimes exclude alcohol, etc.
